We’ll be on Sun Street for World AIDS Day, collecting for the Terrence Higgins Trust.
Progress in treating HIV/AIDS has been astounding – AIDS is no longer the death sentence in the UK that it once was – but we can’t afford to become complacent. Effective treatment is expensive and a positive diagnosis can be devastating. Money raised on World AIDS Day helps the Terrence Higgins Trust’s education and support programmes in workplaces and schools, along with testing services, community projects and wider campaigning.
‘The Terrence Higgins Trust aims to end HIV transmission and stop stigma. That’s an ambitious goal but is getting closer all the time.’
Volunteers will be on the stall outside the Coop on Sun Street from 10.00am – 1.00pm on Saturday 1st December. We also hope to be out collecting in Waltham Abbey during the preceding week.
If you can help out on the stall or during the week please drop us a line:
